If you missed it, however, don’t worry about it. There’s Funnel Hacking Live 2018 still!

I’d like to take this opportunity to remind you of something important, however. Do remember that the funnel-virtuosos aren’t the only masters you should be learning from! Events like this are made for networking, after all. There are a lot of experts among the guests, and chances are you’ll have the opportunity to brush shoulders with them.

Fear not! We’ve prepared for you 5 tips to use to successfully connect with the experts, build solid networks and become an A+ networker all set and ready for Funnel Hacking Live 2018!

1. Start networking early

This may sound ridiculous, especially since the event hasn’t happened yet. But what most neglect to notice is that events like this have dedicated social media presence be it a Facebook page, a Facebook group, a dedicated Instagram or Twitter account, or an event posted on LinkedIn. Be on the lookout for the event’s social media presence and start connecting with those who are sure to attend.

Once you’ve start connecting with people likely to attend the said event, create conversations and let the sharing of valuable knowledge begin. Remember to follow up with these people on the event itself and continue the discussion and strengthen the connection further.

2. Prepare your business cards

Remember that you are joining a networking event for professionals, so a business card is a must. Keep your business card simple and remember to include your brand/name, your website, email, phone number or your Skype ID. This may be too old school, but it still exudes professionalism!

If you can’t be talked into getting yourself some business cards thinking it’s a bother to carry them around, a good alternative is to make use of apps. A good example of a business card app is Ping by Wurqs.

What does Ping do?

Ping is an app you can use to do away with physical business cards. All you need is to create your profile with your business email and you’re set! Add important personal and professional details about yourself which you can send via email. To put it simply, it’s a virtual business card you can send via email.

3. Create a strong impression and remember the names of those you want to connect with

Create a strong impression by showing your peers that you remember them, what they do and what they excel at. It makes for great conversations and it will absolutely be a strong point in networking and making solid connections with your peers in the industry.

This should also apply to you. Make sure you introduce yourself in a way that others will remember you. You can introduce your self and tell them exactly what you do. For example you can introduce yourself “Hi, I’m xxxx. I’m a writer and I focus on email marketing.” or “Hi, I’m xxxx. I build sales funnels for xxx industry.” Remember to keep it short to make it easier for them to remember.

4. Dress well

No, I’m not saying you should go all out and dress like you’re attending the Oscar’s (unless you want to, that’s totally cool too!). The key here is to dress accordingly. Most events are casual, meaning it’s okay to be laidback in your choice of clothes. The important thing is to keep your choices clean and decent. Remember that first impressions are important.

While first impressions are what most people use to judge others, don’t let that confine your way of networking. You won’t be able to tell if the person decked in all-designer attire is still a newbie at funnel hacking or the person wearing that simple black tee and jeans is already making millions out of his funnels without actually talking to them and exchanging ideas. Be friendly and courteous, regardless.

5. Take notes

This tip is a given, especially if events like Funnel Hacking Live 2017 are scheduled for more than 1 day. With all the nuggets of wisdom, you’ll be gaining from speakers and guests like yourselves, you’re bound to forget some. You can opt for the trusty pen and paper, a recorder to dictate your notes with or just your mobile where you can type in your notes app.

If the above-mentioned are already routine for you, good job! You’re already an A+ networker in our books! If it’s you’re first time or you haven’t thought of preparing yourself for attending such events as Funnel Hacking Live 2018, then it’s time to step up your game and follow the tips mentioned above! Build connections and create solid professional relationships with experts and pros.

Good luck!
